Overview: The Overboard Waterproof Case does what it's name implies, keep your device safe (and working) in the water, but it does much more than just stop water from ruining your day.
Durability: The case is simple, a clear front, a back and a plastic top. Nothing really here that can wear out without some pretty extreme use or punishment.
Design/Functionality: The function is pretty simple: keep your phone protected from the elements, water particularly. It does this very well, protecting your device up to twenty feet of depth (although it could likely survive significantly more depending on conditions). In addition, because it's sealed, it should prevent pretty much all other environmental conditions like dust and sand; save maybe rock slides, volcanoes, and tornadoes.
There are other sealed, waterproof cases like this, but it is the easiest I've used by far. You just insert the device, clasp the top and engage the two slide locks. It's really that easy, no futzing around trying to get a perfect seal manually using other clasp methods or zip tops.
As a very cool bonus, the screen does work with touch screen devices, even under water. It may not have a whole lot of utility (unless you really like checking your calendar and sending text messages), but it certainly is cool.
Conclusion: Whether it be hiking, rafting or swimming; this case will protect your phone from the elements; be it sand or water.
