Overview: Dooney & Bourke, a company specializing typically in handbags and fashion accessories has a new kind of fashion accessory that is becoming more and more fashionable: cell phone cases. These cases are extremely stylish and surprisingly durable.
Durability: I was actually a bit shocked by the rugedness of this case, the heavy stiching, sturdy exterior and leather interior combine for quite a tough case. I saw absolutely no signs of damage even after scraping the blade of a pair of scissors across the exterior, and likewise, keys and scratches showed zero damage. Combine this with no real moving parts (save for the wrist strap hook) and the magnetic flap, this case should last you far beyond the manufactuers one year warranty.
Design/Functionality: Well, being a case from a fashion designer, it has a fantastic look to it. But what I really think is interesting is that there are a variety of random designs the case comes in. All follow the same kind of plaid, bright colored design, but the colors are mixed up on each one and they are stylized with different Dooney & Bourke logos. In addition to the bright colors, some have some cute ants placed on them, giving the whole package the look of a summer picnic.
The front flap closes and holds closed with a hidden magnet, this makes for quick and easy opening and closing along with security; while the side has an attachment for an included wrist strap. The interior of the case is tan leather, while the portion that holds the phone is a soft, red linen material. In addition, there is a small pocket hidden under the flap, which is great for holding some small objects/cash/I.D. card.
This case will house most small to medium sized devices. Make sure to consult out capatibility list on the site to make sure your phone is compatible.
Conclusion: This is a great, durable the stylish case; there is only one downside: the pricetag. If youre willing to shell out a few extra bucks for a case though, this is a fantastic purchase.
