Durability: In general, screen protectors need to be thin enough to maintain usability while providing crucial protection for one of the most sensitive and delicate parts of your Palm Pre, and this one strike and excellent balances. It held up extremely well to my battery of tests, including but not limited to scratching it, taking keys to the surface and several other similar tests. Under most normal conditions the screen protector continues to work perfectly, and even if you do manage to utterly destroy it, you still have five more you can use to replace it.
Design/Functionality: First of all, this screen protector is very easy to use, doesn't require any special solution or anything fancy. You simply apply the sticky side of the protector to the Palm Pre screen and use the enclosed plastic card to force the bubbles out and then all you do is wait. Just give it 24 hours and all those annoying little bubbles should have dissipated unless you did something wrong. My only advice is to make sure you thoroughly clean the screen before applying it so you don't get anything trapped like dirt, dust and fingerprints inside; this also helps to since air bubbles can escape easier without things getting in their way.
A screen protector has to do very little, and this one fills all it's roles very well. The protector does not reduce response time or decrease sensitivity at all, and oddly, I found that the feel after using it actually made the touchscreen easier to use. The screen was quite a bit slicker which made flicking through cards and screens much easier while still providing enough of a grip on the screen where I didn't feel like it was going to slip through my fingers. The other big benefit of this protector is the anti-glare, which works great, especially on an already very shiny device like the Pre, making it much easier to view either in the fluorescent lighting of the office or just outside in a bright, sunny day.
Conclusion: If you're looking for a screen protector that combines sensitivity, protection, glare reduction, and will last you a very long time, this is an excellent choice for your Palm Pre.
